Back in 1979, the design team of Robert von Hagge and Bruce Devlin were called upon to create the first of three golf courses here at Hunters Run Country Club.

And when the East Course opened, it did so to rave reviews.

Then in 2007, golf course architect Kit Shuttles was brought in to redesign the East Course here at Hunters Run Country Club.

Is the East Course your typical Florida golf course?

Well, in some respects, yes.

With water coming into play on 17 of the 18 holes out here.

The earth that was removed to create the lakes and ponds was then used to create the mounding on the fairways and elevated tees.

The East Course at Hunters Run Country Club may not be the longest golf course you put a tee in the ground at. Still, it’s a shot makers golf course that will challenge you each and every day.
